Rosemoor

Rosemoor with the wood and river at the back and the small specialised gardens in the centre. 

I spent last week  with friends in a wonderful thatched cottage in Devon. On the first day we went to Rosemoor Garden, the Devon garden of the Royal Horticultural Society. This is one of my favourite gardens,  65 acres with hills, a river, a wild garden. a formidable rose garden, many small gardens with wonderful planting. Halloween was being celebrated in various ways, including a Halloween hunt and a marvellous central pile of Halloween items in the centre of the garden.

We were so lucky with the weather which promised rain but was sunny nearly all the time

We were greeted when we arrived by this lovely rainbow
