Warmth and Wildflowers

The garden got warm yesterday. I was able to take my book outside and read comfortably and watch the birds. There are dozens of little sparrows, some baby blackbirds, and the crows have been making a tremendous fuss so perhaps something's been getting at their eggs.

The wild flowers have been appearing too. I planted the seeds from my Christmas present,  putting them all in pots because I thought they would otherwise die competing with things in the garden already. And I've decided to keep them in the pots. They've been doing quite well and perhaps they will seed themselves in suitable places.

The other wild flowers are doing well. There is a red clover, some daisies in the lawn, Welsh poppies all over the garden, the wonderful blue campanula poscharskyana in the front garden and in bits of the back garden too.
