Camellia Lady vanSittart
Things are happening so fast in the garden at the moment it is difficult to know what to pick out. The Camellia Lady van Sittart with its white flowers is beginning to go over so I should start with that. She always comes out later than the small-flowered one (Camellia transkoensis) and has lots of flowers this year, but everything is going over so fast!

Bergenia Silberlicht
The white bergenia did very well and had lots of flowers. It is beginning to be a bit ragged but still looks good.

Loropetalum chinense
The Loropetalum chinense given to me by a friend last year has done very well, flowering until late and starting to flower early this year. It  does like water which has been a difficulty this year. It is hardy in my garden but would need protection somewhere colder. It is colourful so would be good in a small garden, since it flowers for much of the summer and its leaves are attractive.

Vinca major var. oxyloba
The Vinca major var. oxyloba, an unusual vinca with deep purple flowers, rather larger than normal, grows all over the garden, especially by the wall. I love it and so do the bees.

I have been growing a plant of red veined sorrel for several years now. This year it spread itself all over the garden and I have been eating it every day.
